Digital Marketing for AI-Driven Clean Tech Platform

Executive Summary

AI-driven green energy platform. Innovationly was then engaged to provide digital marketing services to clean tech start-up Resilience Energy, an AI-driven green energy platform.

Resilience Energy is a clean-tech start-up accelerating the transition to a net-zero future. Their AI-driven virtual power plant REnergy platform sits between the consumer and the power grid, optimising renewable energy assets to boost savings and reduce carbon, trading excess energy to generate revenue. The platform controls when to draw down energy from the grid, when to store it and when to sell the excess produced energy. The REnergy platform aggregates unpredictable home power generation into a single source that can then be traded with the grid, providing a greater return for its users and providing the grid with more green energy.

Founded by Loic Hares, who has 14 years of experience in the UK Energy industry on the distribution and supply side, his knowledge of the industry is second to none. Throughout his career, Loic has always sought to use data to drag the GB energy industry into the 21st century. He has a proven track record of building operations and commercial and customer service functions in energy start-ups, such as Tempus Energy, Usio Energy and Toto Energy.

Challenges and Objectives

Reliance Energy’s first planned phase was to turn UK homes into personal power stations. This phase was a B to C play. Resilience Energy turned to a crowdfunding raise to fund the initial costs, and in addition, sold solar installations and battery storage. They planned this first phase to enable the development of the AI-driven platform. This platform, known as REnergy was a B2B play, with Resilience Energy going to market through partnerships with battery storage providers and salary installers.

The initial challenge was to generate revenue through B2C sales to fund the platform development. This included the crowdfunding raise and the direct acquisition of consumer accounts. The second challenge was then to reposition the pivot into a B2B platform. This required a complete reworking of messaging and the website.

Innovationly started working with Resilience Energy during their successful Crowdcube raise of £151,000, 50% above target. Initially engaged in supporting social media, Innovationly’s role grew to provide consulting and additional digital marketing services.

Buyer Personas

Innovationly hosted a role-based buyer persona workshop that used initial research as the basis to build upon. These personas were used to tailor the content across the website, social media and account-based marketing activities.

Website Development

After supporting the design and construction of the original website, Innovationly committed to building a new website to focus on the pivoted business. The site was designed and constructed within two weeks. We created this website from the ground up, building a stronger brand image for digital presence and corporate identity.

We have created an ongoing series of posts on social media, including videos, to be used on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Collateral

We have created additional collateral used as lead magnets in outbound marketing activities. Including a white paper and a brochure on the product.

Graphic Design

Innovationly created a visual language that would be instantly recognised across all mediums. We created a range of infographics that help make complex information eye-catching, shareable and easily digestible. We created graphic website elements. And we created a pitch deck.

Copywriting

We have provided the copywriting for the website and the supporting collateral.

Google Ads

Google Ads were employed in phase one of the project to generate solar and battery installation leads. This included ad creation, defining audiences, management and reporting.

Facebook Ads
